CSAL Language Centre offers all the students from the Faculty of Medicine many services to learn languages.
Where we are
Our new CSAL office at the Polo Eustachio building at the Faculty of Medicine is now open!
You can find us on the first floor, next to the computer lab.
Our office hours at the Faculty of Medicine are:

CSAL services at the Medicine Campus
1. English lessons within the faculty courses run by CSAL;
To pass the English language exam for some faculty courses, students are given a computer test, which is managed by CSAL. To help students prepare for this faculty test, language courses are organized during the first and second semesters of the first year for some Bachelor Degree courses. These aim to improve students' grammar and vocabulary, as well as listening, reading and speaking skills to get to a B1 level of the CEFR. There is a final test on a computer at the end of the course.

NB: passing the exams and obtaining the relative credits do not entitle you to any B1 level certification.
2. Preparation course for Cambridge First
During the second semester of the academic year 2023-2024, CSAL is organising an English course aimed at passing the Cambridge First B2 (FCE) exam. This course will be held at the medicine faculty on Tuesdays and Thursdays (time/classroom to be confirmed).

3. Self-study
Students enrolled in the Faculty of Medicine also have access to self-study courses on the university Moodle platform. They can interact with CSAL's native English speakers, either on the Moodle platforms or in person by making an appointment at our CSAL office at the Eustachio Campus.

It is also possible to follow (online or face-to-face) other English courses in different faculties, Erasmus Outgoing courses and the International Language Certification preparation courses (B2, C1, C2). CSAL is an authorised exam centre for Cambridge and TOEFL.
Credit Recognition

Diagnostic test
CSAL also offers a test to help students understand their language level:
